Nurture Birth and Postpartum
Traditional Birthkeeping and Ayurvedic Postpartum Care
I strive to help women awaken to their natural, instinctual knowledge of birth and the whole process of pregnancy, laboring, birthing, and mothering.
I’m Emma
Traditional birth attendant/doula and Ayurvedic postpartum caregiver located in Snohomish, Washington. My passion is witnessing and supporting mothers in the transformational period that is birth and postpartum, and encouraging the acceptance of birth as a normal, physiological process that our body was designed to go through.
WHAT IS AYURVEDIC CARE AND TRADITION?
Over 3,000 years ago the Ayurvedic tradition began in India as a natural way to gain a state of balance in the body. This tradition places an emphasis on harmony with nature and is used as a way to maintain health and prevent disease. Postpartum care in the Ayurvedic tradition involves deep rest, nourishment and hydration putting an emphasis on supporting the body as it heals and regains energy after birth.

She made such an effort before and after he came to be a peaceful, informative and overall kind presence that was a healing balm to me throughout my pregnancy and postpartum journey. To this day I know she is in my corner and she is a wellspring of widsom!
